What is “bearing witness”? Does it make a difference?
Sunday, January 21
Time:
2:00 pm UTC (Universal Time Code) See World Time Buddy for the correct time in your location.
Topic:
In this seminar, Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steininger go more deeply into bearing witness. By working with the participants' growing perception of the living connection in the field between us all, they help to manifest a sacred container from which we can expand our human capacities to hold both light and dark. This form of sacred activism allows us to learn how to see and experience differentiation within the unity that is the ground of everything.
Tentative Schedule:
2:00 pm UTC Introduction & Group Meditation
2:45 pm UTC Exploration & Collective Dialogue
3:30 pm UTC Small Breakout Groups

Opening Ritual:
Welcome and introduction from your hosts, Elizabeth Debold and Thomas Steininger from One World in Dialogue. They opened by calling upon the intention behind this 24-hour vigil, and providing guidance for participants to give the most to their engagement.
Elizabeth and Thomas were joined by Thomas Mendoza, who shared a message from a Mayan fire ceremony for One World Bearing Witness, and also by David Nicol, who offered an invocation to subtle activism.
