Yael Treidel is passionate about bringing people together and bringing peace. As an Israeli she experiences the implications of conflict and separation daily. For promoting peace and reconciliation, Yael is active in different grassroots movements, among them: Women Wage Peace – an Israeli Women’s movement working to exert pressure on the Israeli government to come to a peaceful agreement with the Palestinians while including women in this process. She is also involved in the Parents Circle Families Forum – a grassroots organization of bereaved Palestinians and Israelis, promoting reconciliation as an alternative to hatred and revenge.
For the past decade Yael has been active in exploring subjects such as women’s leadership, the role of women in bringing political and social change and the relationship between spiritual development and activism. She is a powerful voice in advocating for alternative solutions to cultural conflicts.
