Sandra DeLaronde

Sandra DELARONDE is an Indigenous Women’s leader and ceremonialist affiliated with the altar of Chief Eagle Claw of the great Dakota Nation. She follows only one principle and that is to “Live your Prayer.” If your prayer is for the good health and happiness of the people and the healing of Mother Earth, then one’s daily action must move in that direction.
Sandra’s life work has been in the area of education and justice for Indigenous women, families and communities. Most recently she is founder and Executive Director of the Indigenous Women’s Leadership and Research Institute. She believes that the time has come to shift from Victim to Victor by assisting Indigenous women to stand in their power.
She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training.
