Born in eastern Southern Mongolia’s Bairin Right Banner. He obtained his B.A. in Mongolian Linguistics and Literatures from the Southern Mongolia University. In 1998, he came to the United States. In 2001, he and his colleagues created the Southern Mongolian Human Rights Information Center (SMHRIC). Currently he works as the Director of SMHRIC. He has testified before the United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the United States Congressional Commissions on China on human rights conditions of Southern Mongolia. His interviews appeared on major news media including TIME magazine, CNN, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, BBC, The Guardian, Reuters, Voice of America and Radio Free Asia. He speaks Mongolian, Chinese, Japanese and English.
