CONFRONTATION.

CELEBRATION.

DIALOGUE.

Human beings have always been a globalizing species.  During the Ice Age, over 60,000 years ago, homo sapiens stepped out of East Africa and migrated to Australia. Over the next 35,000 years, humans spread out and settled on every inhabitable continent on the globe.

Today, with technology, each of us can “globalize.” We have instant access by telephone and through the internet to nearly every niche on Earth. Simultaneously, economic forces are weaving us tightly together into one .

Globalization now holds tremendous power for connection and destruction. How we go global matters.

On September 12 – 13, One World Rising

will bring together over thirty spiritual leaders, visionaries, and activists from every continental region of the globe with thousands of concerned individuals to:

CONFRONT the effects of globalizing modernity,

CELEBRATE  the richness, wisdom, and beauty of humanity’s diverse cultures,

DIALOGUE about new solutions and creative ways to realize a living global whole.

You are invited:

In this two-day webcast, you will go on a journey from Australia, through Asia to India, across to the Middle East and Africa, up to Europe and then over to the Americas. In each region, your hosts, Dr. Thomas Steininger and Dr. Elizabeth Debold, will introduce you to spiritual leaders and activists who have compelling messages about who we are, where we are, and where we can go together

As a participant, you will:

  • Discover the different ways each culture expresses the truth of Unity and experiences the crisis of our moment.
  • Open to the depth and dignity transmitted by spiritual leaders from around the world.
  • Meet the new activists who are challenging our usual understanding of political action and social transformation.
  • Question current Western-centric models of human and cultural development.
  • Learn what you can do to respond to the different forms of historical oppression that have impacted the world’s cultures and peoples.
  • Realize how dialogue is more than conversation and how it open a potential for change.
  • Awaken to the living whole of human life on this planet and the need for the full diversity of human consciousness and culture to form that whole.

You are needed:

As an engaged participant in One World Rising, you share in the creation of a new conversation space that holds the potential for an integration of cultures and peoples into a living whole. A new, global, integral perspective cannot be held by one person. By listening deeply and engaging, together we can hold the multi-dimensional reality of an emerging global perspective. Join the thousands of passionate individuals committed to creating a living network of unity-in-diversity that provides a new way to go global.

FAQs:

Basically, it’s a webcast, which is like a live radio broadcast through a website. This means that thousands of people can participate together through their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Listen in for however much you want to. You will get mp3 recordings of the entire two days of the program so that you can listen to the speakers you missed or to the entire program when you want to.
No, if you have registered for the event, you will be sent the mp3s for free within a week of the event. (We may, however, offer the event recordings for sale at some point in the future.)
Yes, we will have multiple channels for you to ask questions or make comments so that you can engage with the speakers.
Creating a truly global forum is nearly impossible because of the time differences around the world. The first day begins with Australia and Eastern Asia, so we start at a time when people from those regions will be awake and available to participate. Likewise for the second day. The first day is being broadcast twice—once live and once recorded.
You can always contact Anna, who handles customer service. Here’s her email: info@oneworldindialogue.com For the event itself, we will send out additional ways for you to get the help you need.
