Born and raised in the west (British Columbia, Canada), I worked as a volunteer teacher in the east (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) for several years before `coming home´ to Middle Europe.
Work for 7 years as a tutor for the German Volunteer Service (DED), followed by a combination of studies at the Free University of Berlin and the founding of a German-Turkish, bilingual children´s project in Berlin-Kreuzberg constituted the next phase.
Personal contacts led me to the Berlin Waldorf Teachers Training Seminar which I completed alongside being mother and working as a foreign language correspondent at the Wissenschaftszentrum für Sozialforschung Berlin.
I taught briefly at 2 Waldorf schools in Berlin and rounded up my working life as a teacher for 7 years at a Swiss Waldorf school. It was here that I started a student exchange project between this school and a state school in Antalya, Turkey.
Since 2011 have been a busy retiree.
